The reds...and the greens!

Christmas is my favorite time of year. At the boutique this weekend I had a beautiful Christmas display across from my booth, a Scentsy booth to my right with all her yummy Christmas scents, and Christmas music playing for 3 days straight. I couldn't wait any longer to fill my home with Christmas decor. So sure enough, family night this week consisted of husband helping with the tree...then peacing out while I decorated. Lucky for me I have a husband who is kind enough to let me be a "Christmas Nut!"

Baby of mine...

The rumors are true folks ... I'm heavy with child.

I've learned...

Sometimes the Lord has plans that are different than our own. *COUGH* I was supposed to start cosmetology school on Tuesday. Husband and I have decided, that's not a realistic option for us anymore.

Sometimes our husbands tell us they don't want kids for a LONG time, but when that stick is in front of their face, and it says "Pregnant" they become the happiest man in the world.

Sometimes it's OK to feel scared, and overwhelmed, and wonder if a wiser one should have my place, but when all is said and done, I need to have faith that Heavenly Father knows best.

Sometimes brothers cry tears of joy.

Sometimes you need to take life one minute at a time... and love it.

I love you baby of mine.

Halloween Festivities!

Halloween this year was full of fun festivities! Friday night I helped Trent and Charde throw a fabulous costume party! We had yummy food, pumpkin carving, a costume contest, and Rock Band. I think it's safe to say everyone had a ball. Here's husband and I... bumble bee and sunflower! No, I did not have to bribe him to wear this costume!
Ashtyn and I.
Me, Charde, (Guffy) and Ashtyn.
Harry Potter! Jake, Red, and Luke. So funny!Mud Wright was the winner of the costume contest dressed as "Dizzy!" For those who do not live in Mesa, "Dizzy" is a legendary man who rides his bike up and down Main Street screaming praises to the Lord and such! Correct me if I'm wrong Dad, but didn't you arrest him? Some Rock Band! Red, Trent, Bridget and Bup carving pumpkins!
Hocus Pocus! These girls (Charde, Kendall, and Shawnie) rocked the Hocus Pocus witch costumes! Loved them!Saturday night, we went out to my aunt Marcy's for some dinner and to see family! We then headed over to the in-laws for the homemade doughnut tradition! HEAVEN!Then off to another Costume party we went. This time we added a few things to husbands costume. The pot and seeds! For sure makes the costume!Bryce and his buddy Cody!
Cute Leyla and I. On our way home we had to stop at the grocery store and this is what I found! SICK! A bite in an apple!

Professional Car Accident-er...

So yesterday on our way to Hayden's football game we got in a car accident. Anyone who knows me, knows I have extreme anxiety in the car BECAUSE of car accidents. So you can imagine what a wuss I am when it comes to them. As soon as I realized what happened and that my body was hurting, I became hysterical. As traffic stopped and pedestrians watched, I looked around and everyone was staring at me. I'm sure by the looks of my hysteria, they thought I was really injured. Like a broken neck or arm...maybe even my leg getting cut off. So when I stepped out of husbands smashed truck with only a broken necklace, purse, a cut, some bruises, burns and mascara running down my face, I think it's safe to say everyone was a little disappointed. Well they needed to just get over it because I was in pain. Still am in fact. Worse. I feel like my whole body got scrunched up like an accordion. No one is digging my grave, so that, I am extremely grateful for.
Bryce, Honey, Sugar... I'm not mad at you. Yeah it was your fault, and I got hurt, and you didn't, but your precious baby got smashed (the truck, not me) and that's enough to worry about. So just know you are forgiven and I know that accidents happen.
My poor, damaged arm from the airbag :(
Thank you GG for coming to rescue me, and for feeding us. Thank you Brian and Troy for coming to rescue Bryce. Also, thanks for the vicodin...I'm sorry to say it did nothing for me. Thank you man that we hit, for not yelling at my husband and for asking me if I was okay. Now Copper that gave my husband the ticket...you should have given him a break....I mean, you worked with my dad after all.

I hate blogging...

You heard correct. In case you haven't noticed my lack of blogging the last two weeks, I'm in a little funk. In fact, the only reason I am typing away right now, is my fear of losing all my blogger friends. I wish I could say I've been incredibly busy, but that would be lying. I've lost all sense of creativity. So sorry for the LAME update.
So I am in the middle of making some bracelets for a bride, her 11 bridesmaids, and the mama's. You may wonder why I am working away on my bed....
....does this answer your question? This is what my craft room currently looks like. Sick. It gets a little overwhelming working under such conditions. And frankly, I don't even want to think about cleaning it.
My wall decor with no place to live is adding up. Since I don't want to clean my craft room...there's no chance of getting decorated anytime soon. So until then...my goodies sit homeless.
I've been getting a little bugged by the worlds judgement of physical appearance and physical appearance only, and realized I was being a bit hypocritical. I have always had a very harsh judgement of myself. As you can see, I need daily reminders. Hence, the large writing on my chalkboard/fridge.

Lately...

Out to dinner for our Anniversary.
Me trying to get husband to smile for a picture. He wasn't cooperating.
My Halloween centerpiece! Gosh it is so hard for me to decorate this month. I really have no idea what to do. I went to the dollar store and luckily they had some goodies. I found the little pumpkins and painted them orange and tried to spray paint gold glitter over them...hideous. So I went searching in my craft room and found my gold spray paint, which I think turned out nicely. Love the big pumpkin, product of Hobby Lobby.

My spooky chandelier! Spiderwebs, and creepy birds also found at the dollar store.

Another Boutique!

Mark your calendars! It's going to be a big one! Laceybloom is joining many others for a fabulous boutique in November! It's three days so I don't want to hear any excuses about not being able to make it! Grab your girlfriends and come join in the fun!

Dear Dad-
It was a year ago today you gave me away. You thought I was precious and hoped the one I chose would feel the same. He promised he'd take care of me, and love me with all his heart. I know it scared you, seeing me slip away. But I'm in good hands now. I'm here to stay.
Dear Bryce-
As you so honestly put it last night "It's our one year anniversary. We've been happily married for 9 months!" You're my best friend sugar. The one who can stop my tears and make me laugh. Who gives me confidence when in doubt. I love you...so hard! I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with you!
Love? Love Love Love.

Happy October!

I'm so excited it's October! I wish this post had some Halloween decor on it or something...negative. My Halloween decorations consist of four apothecary jars filled with candy! Hopefully I can jump on the band wagon and get some cute stuff up before the month is over! Although I am very happy about the decorating that has been going on around here. I want to get my guest/craft room done before I start school. I'm doing it slowly, but here's a little sneak peek!

My adorable signs I had made by Valentine Decor!

Bryce and I got 2 twin beds for our guest room and there's only room for one. So I used the extra foot board to make this hook board to have a place to hang the necklaces I'm selling. It will work just perfect!

Some other goodies... I'm so excited to do this room because I'm finally going to use some color! I sure love my black and cream, and that's about all there is in my house! So it will be so fun to be able to have a bright colorful room!

Well that's all folks. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend watching conference and such!

Dreams...

"Dreams are just dreams when they're stuck inside your head."
So folks, I did something about those darn dreams I've had of going to beauty school my whole life. I AM NOW OFFICIALLY ENROLLED TO START COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL NOVEMBER 10TH! This is a huge step for me. I've probably looked into schools a hundred times, and every time I get serious about it, I totally freak out. I'm childish and have always been afraid of doing things on my own. But I knew I would regret not going for the rest of my life if I didn't grow up and make the decision to go. I couldn't be more excited...and nervous!
One day I will have that Beauty Barn I've always imagined!

My Fall Fancies.

Fall may possibly be my favorite time of year. I don't enjoy it quite as much in Mesa as I did Boise, but at least I can imagine what it would be like to wake up to the crisp air with all the beautifully colored leaves. While driving home with my windows rolled down last night, I could feel a coolness in the air and I was reminded of how much I love this upcoming season. One of the best parts...fashion. For some reason I get so excited about fashion in the fall/winter. Must be all the fun layers. Here's my wish list. Key word...wish!

Photos and products: Anthropologie, Emersonmade, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and Bonzie.

Tomorrow will be a great day. It is my "Welcome Home to Mesa Day"... (although I have been home a month) My favorite place in all of Mesa will be re-opening after their annual summer absence.

AYAYAY! EL CHARRO HERE I COME!

In need of advice...

Hypothetically speaking... if I were to start selling a few things on Etsy, what would you like to see? I'm kind of scared haha and I don't want to go to the trouble of trying to figure the whole thing out if the things I put on are LAME-O! Here are a few things I've made that could do, or if you have any other requests/suggestions let me know. I don't think I'll do any skirts...mainly because all the skirts I've made have not been done with a pattern so the whole size thing wouldn't go over too well with me. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The Great Escape...

This weekend Bryce and I went up to the Clark's family cabin in Strawberry.
Saturday we all went shooting. I guess you could say I'm a natural.

He thinks he's pretty tough. I think so too.

Love him.

Hayden and my honey.

Ma and Pa in-law.

This place is so cute. Saturday night we went in after dinner and got "Banana Burritos..." Delish.

Sunday we went and picked berries at Camp Lomia...founded by my great great grandpa Lo. He's famous.

So yummy!

The hubs and myself.

We had a blast and hope to go up again soon!

One year older...and possibly wiser.

Dear Husband-
I'm sorry today wasn't the most amazing, fun birthday you've ever had...I didn't get you anything insanely cool, like a new gun, or truck, or throw you a surprise party. In fact we didn't even have cake and ice cream. But today, I love you more than the day I married you. I hope that's enough. You mean the world to me. Happy birthday Sugar.

PS...I will try to abide by your birthday wish, and keep my things on the left side of the vanity. But only because I love you...

Drab to Fab!

I've been playing makeover the last few days. Why is it that I always have to be doing a project of some sort? Stupid. Anyway, here are the latest. Enjoy!

The death of me...but oh so worth it!

For a while now, I've had my mind set on painting our cabinets. This took a lot of preparation on my end. I had to prepare my sanity for the brutal, LONG days this project would take. Now even though my husband wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about the project as I was, he stepped up to the plate and helped me do it. He's the best.
Here's what they looked like up until 2 days ago. Nothing hideous, but I had something a little better in mind.
I didn't realize how many cabinet doors we actually had. Here's my honey taking the doors off. I also helped... just took a break to take a picture of him. Naturally.

Only HALF of the massive mess we made removing everything in our kitchen. Sick.

Me sanding away. Excuse my trashy boy look.

The hubs painting the frame.

I tackled these sucker doors. Yesterday it finally hit me how dang hot it is in Mesa. I sat in that freaking garage all day sweating 5 gallons of sweat.
A little sneak peek.

While Bryce was at school, I antiqued all the doors.

Hubs putting the doors back on.

TA DA! I love them. Enough said.

The cute knobs I got. They for sure add the finishing touch!

Home Improvement.

I've been gone way too long! I came home and wanted to immediately attack my home! I tend to be a little compulsive. Bryce has to remind me I need to take things slowly. Anyway, we did get a few things done. I continue to fall in love with making this house our home!
I made this oval picture creation forever ago and got it up!
So over the summer I got this cute little chandelier for $25..... you heard me. I think it looks pretty dang cute!
We put our old kitchen chandelier in the bathroom. I think it adds a nice little touch!
Added a few buttons to this frame.

And put together the frame and and candlestick holder I painted this summer.

Jenny's baby shower!

Here are some pictures from my cousin Jenny's baby shower. She's going to have a precious baby girl in October, and we couldn't be more excited for her! Dani, Toni, my aunts and I decorated and cooked last night and this morning, and it turned out pretty stinking cute!

Dani, Toni and I
Everyone kept joking around about me "bringing over my whole house to decorate!" We sure lucked out being able to use what decorations we all had!
"B" for Brightyn!

I made these delicious cupcakes! I'm wondering if they were too pretty to eat, because we had like a billion left overs! Or maybe I was just the only one that thought they were yummy! :D
Here's the tutu I made her...pretty sure you all have already seen it!

They had this darling idea to hang the outfits she got on this clothing line. By the end of the shower we had two of these going, and one of them fell down. All those clothes were too darn heavy.

Me, Jenny with the baby in her tumtum, Toni and Dani.

Hello, you can't even tell this girl's prego. We all kept laughing cause from behind she's so tiny and then she'd turn to the side and there's this big baby chillin in her stomach!

Me trying to get Max to look at the camera! Took a while. Isn't she the cutest?!

Peace out Cali...

It's Home again home again jiggidy jig for me!

My wonderful brother and father in-law cleared out our jungle backyard for us while we were away! Thanks Brian and Hayden, we love you guys! Sugar...it's ready and waiting for you to come home and landscape it :D

Husband- This house isn't home without you. Kick some pest control booty this week and come home to me. I love you.

oooOOO!

So here they are...my most ballinest creations yet! Ok maybe not, but I started just messing around Friday, and got so dang excited about them. So I am now on a roll. There's so many different things you can do with them! So you may possibly see me with a new one on every day for the rest of my life.
