The start of a LONG summer!

Bryce has been telling me the last few days I'm getting "cabin fever" and need to get out of the house instead of sitting home all day. Well the problem with getting out of the house is...getting lost. That's what has happened the few times I have left the apartment anyway. So today I get a text from Bryce telling me to leave the house. I got online and searched for the nearest Joann Fabrics...to my disappointment, I found the closest one was 20 minutes, and 4 freeways away. No way in heck was I going to embark on that adventure. We all know how it would end...me calling Bryce bawling my eyes out telling him I have no idea where I'm at. So I searched for any other fabric store within...1 mile of me. TADA! I found one 1/2 mile from me right next to my trusty Ralphs grocery store. So my project for the night...a skirt. A few weeks ago I found a super cute blog with tons of cute skirts, and since then I've had my heart on making one. I got some cute fabric, trim and tulle and got to work! Here's the finished product.

Love your skirt and your apron! Wish I could sew, I just make things up haha. That is a good hobby!

So, so cute! I wish that I could say that I had taught you how to sew. Bad mom!

That skirt is very cute. I love the tulle especially! If we lived closer we could do fun projects together. Maybe we could pick out crafts and then decide to make them the same week and then it would be cousin togetherness by interweb.
